GWANGJU – The Uni-friends – student ambassadors of the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade – were at the Gwangju World Cup Stadium on March 11th to support the local professional soccer team, Gwangju FC at its opening home game of the 2012 season. The 100 Uni-friends took part in ushering spectators into the stadium and cheering ardently as Gwangju FC took on the visiting Pohang Steelers.
The Uni-friends held signs and placards promoting the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade, and were encouraged and supported by spectators in between their cheerleading efforts. The Uni-friends also carried out a clean-up campaign around the stadium after the game had finished.
The Uni-friends comprise of 170 students from universities all around the nation, including Seoul city, Gyeonggi Province, Busan city,Jeju Island and many others. They are promoting the 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade in various regions all across Korea.
