The History of American Football in FISU

American Football entered the programme of the FISU World University Championships in 2013 when the FISU Executive Committee accepted the application of the International Federation of American Football from the sport's president, Mr. Tommy Wiking. The application came with a bid from the Swedish city of Uppsala to be the inaugural host of the WUC American Football.

In 2018, the former Winter Universiade city of Harbin (CHN) will welcome the best student-athletes in the world in American Football for the third edition of the World University Championships.
