Podium Men’s Recurve

CÓRDOBA – Weather remains the same in Rabanales, which should not have come as a surprise to archers being now better used to Córdoba’s heat.

In the particular case of Germany, Kristina Berger has won the gold medal in the individual category of compound bow with 142 points and followed by Tristan Skarvan’s second position (USA) with 141 points, both of them having demonstrated their privileged position throughout the competition.

Even if she did not obtained very good results in the classification round (136 points), the French archer Pascale Lebecque demonstrated with the technique of her play the experience that characterizes the French team by obtaining the bronze medal and beating Laura Longo (Italy).

In the male compound category it is Daniel Suter (USA) who obtained the first position after beating the Spaniard Javier Valverde, who got the silver medal after getting nine of ten points at the last shooting (138 T.9 / 138 T.10.).

At the female recurve competition Seayane Park (Korea) got the gold medal winning the three sets and followed by her fellow countrywoman Eunbin Jang, who was also expected to be on the podium. The bronze medal was for Nien- Hsiu (China Taipei), who won three sets against AnSejin (Korea), who won two.

Finally, in the men’s recurve competition, Kim Bongman (Korea), previously classified in the seventh position, was able to beat his opponent, winning 3-0 and, therefore, a gold medal, as opposed to Chung-Huan (China Taipei), who obtained the silver medal. Elias Cuesta, who will be representing Spain in the Olympic Games of London, achieved a third position in the podium by winning three of the five sets competing against Polish archer Aleksander Michalski, who was seventh in the classificatory round.
