Volunteer enrolment for the 2023 FISU World University Games begins

Join as part of the Ekaterinburg 2023 volunteersToday marks the two-year countdown until the start of the Ekaterinburg 2023 FISU World University Games, and to mark the occasion, the Russian Organisers launch the start of their volunteer program.

 

Starting from today, anyone willing can apply on the official Games volunteer website, considering they meet the criteria. To participate in the program, the potential volunteer must be at least 18 years old by the time the Games start on 8 August 2023. To encourage the local youth to participate, the organisers have made available certain functional areas to the residence of Ekaterinburg as young as 14 years old.

 

After their application has been accepted, candidates will go through online tests and an interview. During the interview, the candidate can demonstrate their skills, knowledge, level of proficiency in foreign languages and share their volunteering experience. Candidates that have successfully passed the interview will be allocated to functional areas, after which, their journey begins with online training.

 

The enrolment of Games volunteer recruiters will start simultaneously with the start of the volunteer program. Recruiters’ main task will be conducting interviews with the potential volunteer candidates. Detailed information about the selection process can also be found on the Ekaterinburg 2023 FISU World University Games volunteers’ official website.

 

Applications will be accepted until January 2023. The Games Directorates plans to recruit approximately 11,000 volunteers that will be allocated in 34 functional areas. Estimated that no less than 6,000 candidates will be recruited from among the residents of the Sverdlovsk Region, approximately 4,000 volunteers will arrive from other regions of Russia, and another 200 from abroad.
