Song solicitation for the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games a success

Applicants recording their songs for the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games song solicitation CHENGDU—The Executive Committee of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games looked to the public in search for the official song of the Games. As entries came in from all over the globe, 2,723 pieces of musical work came in from 14 countries and regions including China, USA, UK, Japan, Australia, South Korea and Bulgaria.

 

The musical numbers came in all shapes and sizes—from rock to pop and even folk music, entries came in from applicants from 7-88 years of age. Entries for this competition also came with a unique sound and story behind them, making it even that much more special. Some heavy hitters also entered the contest, which included Grammy nominated Bulgarian musicians and top-tier pop music producers from the Republic of Korea and Japan.

 

The campaign was launched of the official website of the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games, QQ Music and YouTube for 120 days, where all talent was showcased and collectively accumulated over 300,000 listens globally. The finalists and songs that are selected for the Games will be announced in May 2021, with exciting posts and events to follow from the city of Chengdu.
