Chengdu Table Tennis training venue 2Preparation work for the Chengdu2021 FISU World University Games next summer are in full swing. While 13 entirely new facilities are coming up, renovation of 36 existing venues is speeding up, as the summer games approach in just over one year.

The National Key Table Tennis Training School, which will be a training venue during the games has officially become the first renovated venue that is ready ahead of schedule.

From a bird's eye view, this silver-coloured, four-story building bedazzles thanks to its metallic lustre. The venue covers an area of 11,604 square meters, with a total floor area of 12,798.5 square meters. Besides the competition hall, it is also equipped with apartments for athletes and other rooms.

After the completion of the project, the venue not only meets the requirements of a training venue for the World University Games but will also serve as a competition facility in the city, over the long term.
