The Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games, scheduled to open on 18 August, are now only 200 days away. To mark the occasion, the organisers have launched a new YouTube channel, which features entries for the official song contest.
Music will play an important role at this major international multi-sport event, and a worldwide song contest had been launched in November 2020 to solicit entries for the official song of the Games.
Everyone is welcome to participate, and the contest has already received numerous excellent entries from around the world, with a diversity of musical forms: including pop, bel canto, folk music, rap and orchestral, among others.

The playlist will be updated every Friday, bringing the latest pieces to you! In addition to YouTube, there will also be song recommendations on the other official social media platforms of the Chengdu Games: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
While listening to the works of other musicians, you may be inspired. If you have your own ideas, you can join the team of creators. The solicitation for songs for the 2021 FISU WUG is still in progress and will continue up until 16 March, 2021.
