Winter Games 22 February 2016

KRASNOYARSK – At the 2016 Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum (KEF), FISU President Oleg Matytsin and FISU Secretary General/CEO Eric Saintrond met with the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Viktor Tolokonsky. The main topic for discussion was the preparation of Krasnoyarsk as host city for the 29th Winter Universiade in 2019.

“Now the city lives with the 29th Winter Universiade Krasnoyarsk 2019. I am not going to be cunning to tell that all preparatory works run smoothly. The problems are there, but we try to solve them promptly”, the Governor commented. “The city is changing. The investors have already started the construction of a new terminal forthe Yemelyanovo Airport; great work is carried out on the design of the sports venues to be constructed. Today, the staging of the Games has been discussed both with FISU representatives and Swiss Ambassador Pierre Helg, as Switzerland currently qualifies for holding of the 2021 Winter Universiade”, Viktor Tolokonsky added.
