KAZAN Director General of the Kazan 2013 Executive Committee Vladimir Leonov and CEO of the RusADA Anti-Doping Agency Ramil Khabriev signed a cooperation agreement in Kazan.

The agreement is to ensure efficient cooperation in development of sports and delivery of the doping-free Games.

As Vladimir Leonov stated, on the threshold of such large-scale events as the 2013 Summer Universiade and the 2014 Sochi Olympics, cooperation of this nature plays a significant role in the process of personnel training. ‘We would like to set up a strong infrastructure in Tatarstan to enable the doping control’, he said.

For his part, the head of RusADA underlined that a big amount of work is to be done to develop and implement training programs and to build an appropriate infrastructure.

In the course of his official visit to Kazan Ramil Khabriev attended the working meeting that saw discussion of anti-doping services at the 2013 World University Summer Games. Moreover, he visited a few Universiade venues including the Tennis Academy and the Universiade Village.
