CRANS-MONTANA- The entire OC of the 15th WUC Golf 2014 to be held in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, met for a plenary session last weekend. The President of the OC, Pierre Bruchez, and the Secretary General, Guy Praplan, informed all the heads of the different departments such as accommodation, transportation, security, competition, social events, protocol, media etc. about the progress of the preparations for this important event. The OC is very pleased that 24 countries will participate with the maximum number of 144 players. With 69 female golfers and 75 male players this Championship will reach almost a gender balance. The OC is now waiting for the individual entries which will finally show the quality of the players from three continents, such as the America's, Asia and Europe. The OC was very happy to learn that Eurosport, the media partner of FISU, will send a TV Crew to Crans-Montana. On behalf of the Swiss University Sports Federation, but also in the name of FISU, Leonz Eder thanked the OC for all the efforts undertaken in order to welcome the players, officials and FISU family members from June 23-27 in the famous Swiss resort of Crans-Montana.
