LODZ – In the final stretch towards the medals it was obvious that the host nation was going to be prominently present on the medal podium. Team Poland 2 took the highest honours claiming the gold, leaving the silver for their compatriots of Team Poland 1. The bronze went to Team Serbia.

Twelve teams from eight nations took part in the event. At the closing ceremony the FISU flag was handed to the next organisers who will host the 9th edition of this FISU championship in Xuzhou, China.
