#WUAlmaty2017: Meeting with IBU President Anders Besseberg


ALMATY - On January 30, the day after the Opening Ceremony of the 28th Winter Universiade in Almaty, FISU  officials including President Oleg Matytsin, Secretary General/CEO Eric Saintrond, Chair of the WU International Technical Committee Roger Roth and WU Director Milan Augustin met with IBU President Anders Besseberg. The parties discussed cooperation between both federations, namely the inclusion of FISU biathlon competitions in the IBU calendar, publication of FISU events results at the IBU website, as well as some technical aspects of organising biathlon competitions for student athletes.

It was decided on the meeting to continue to work together in order to reach a comprehensive FISU-IBU agreement in the near future.
