Anti-doping e-textbook

The anti-doping e-textbook was designed to be a comprehensive overview of doping in sport and outline issues relating to this topic. Its primary target audience is first year university students who will, one day, be involved in sport in a variety of different capacities and disciplines. FISU has worked closely with WADA to ensure the textbook and learning materials are accessible to as many as possible. The textbook has been translated into a number of languages including English, French and Spanish, with plans to have the textbook also available in Korean by the end of December 2018. This anti-doping e-textbook is available here, on the anti-doping e-learning platform (ADeL)

National University Sport Federations

FISU has provided each of its member federations with information relating to the anti-doping program and access to its resources. NUSFs have used FISU anti-doping education within their General Assemblies, NUSF strategic dialogue seminars or as a part of education practices to their student-athletes.

Student workshops

Focusing on the key elements of anti-doping, student workshops are consistently delivered at FISU events including at the Summer and Winter Universiades, FISU Forum and at the FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy.

Programme future

The FISU-WADA anti-doping programme will continue to grow and develop to ensure it stays relevant to university students, officials and NUSFs. Future goals of the programme include but are not limited to:

  • Engage with as many universities as possible to use the curriculum and learning materials in relevant university courses.

  • Publication of e-textbook in additional languages.

  • Foster a strong ‘say no to doping’ student ambassadors programme.

  • Further, develop education materials, seminars and workshops for student-athletes who participate in FISU events.

  • Further, support NUSFs in promoting anti-doping education to their member universities.
