In the amazing setting of St David’s Ruins, Vytautas Magnus won the men’s world title for the fourth time in a row! And the university’s women’s took a bronze medal. China also won a gold and a bronze with Peking University (women) and Huaqiao University (men). University of Latvia and Slovenia’s University of Ljubljana take home the silver medals.
What an event! The setting was amazing, the atmosphere sizzling hot and once again Lithuania proved that its student-athletes excel at 3×3 basketball!

Rokas Jocys, Nojus Lenskas, Jokubas Rubinas and Gabrielus Celka won all their pool games easily before meeting the University of Sydney in the semi-final. That match was tougher, but the Lithuanians still managed to come out on top, winning 15-12.
In the 100% European final opposing them to the University of Latvia, they secured the win 19-15 to make give Vytautas Magnus University its fourth crown in a row!
China’s Huaqiao University won their place on the podium by bating Australia’s University of Sydney 21-16 in the bronze medal match.
The competition was like a walk in the (very hot) park for Xianglin Wu, Jiahui Wang, Meitong Li and Ruoying Li who showed great teamwork and impressive skills throughout the tournament.
But the final against University of Ljubljana ended up being a really tough fight, the Chinese winning it 16-14.
The bronze medal game was also an exciting one, with the ladies from Vytautas Magnus eager to also bring back a medal to Lituania. Mission accomplished as they beat Chinese Culture University from Chinese Taipei 17-13.
