Over 130 student-athletes from 32 countries and regions representing all five continents will compete over two days on 8-9 August in the beautiful Swiss scenery.
Who better than the Organising Committee President, Yannick Grivel to introduce the event? “This Championship is hosted within the Nyon Triathlon, which celebrates its 37th edition this year. Welcoming over 3,600 elite, kids and age-group participants annually, it has become one of the largest triathlon events in Switzerland. Organised entirely by passionate volunteers, the Nyon Triathlon reflects the true spirit of community and dedication to sport. Hosting this World University Championship again, ten years after our last
edition, is both a privilege and a source of immense pride for all of us.”

Nyon is a picturesque Swiss town located on the shores of Lake Leman, between Geneva and Lausanne.
The city is home to the UEFA headquarters and the UEFA Colovray Sports Centre, which will provide the ideal setting for this FISU World University Championship Triathlon.

The University of Lausanne
The University of Lausanne (UNIL) – which is also where the FISU Headquarters are located – is a leading research and higher education institution in the Canton of Vaud.

Its proximity to Nyon and to the Olympic institutions in Lausanne enriches the Championship’s academic and sporting environment.
The venue
The Colovray Sports Centre in Nyon is owned and operated by UEFA, offers world-class facilities and breathtaking views of the lake and the Alps.
Each year, it welcomes more than 10,000 participants and spectators during the Nyon Triathlon, making it one of Switzerland’s most dynamic multisport venues. With its modern infrastructure, lakeside swimming area, and scenic surroundings facing the Alps, Colovray offers an exceptional environment for both athletes and fans.
A few words about the competition
The FISU Championship Triathlon competition shall be run in accordance with the most recent technical rules of World Triathlon. A maximum of 70 athletes per gender are accepted, to take part in the 2 days programme.
The swim course is held in a freshwater lake, with an in-water start. The bike course will take place on roads closed to traffic, going through the countryside, and includes a variety of uphill and downhill profiles. The run course is held on paved roads closed to traffic, with a rather flat profile.
