The AIPS, who celebrates their 100th anniversary this year, have had a long a fruitful relationship with FISU. Both their presidents, Gianni Merlo and Leonz Eder founded the Young Reporters Programme in 2011 during the 26th Summer Universiade in Shenzhen, China.

After a presentation of FISU’s upcoming activities, President Leonz Eder presented AIPS President Gianni Merlo with a small token of recognition of the great collaboration between the two entities, and AIPS also gifted FISU a present.

After several discussion panels with representatives from leading sports media as well as sports federations leaders, the AIPS distributed the first of their awards, this time to events rather than to journalists.

The Chengdu FISU World University Games, that took place in July and August 2023, were crowned for best media facilities in a multisport event! A wonderful acknowledgement for all the hard work and warm welcome that was put into serving the media representatives in the best way possible.
