The Portuguese University of Maia and Polytechnic Institute (Maiêutica) recently organized the Healthy Campus 2023 Days, a one-day event that covered all areas of the FISU-led Programme and ended with a sports event for all. The institution developped hundreds of initiatives in the last two years and successfully completed the 100 criteria required by the Healthy Campus Programme.
A total of 123 institutions are developing this Programme in 40 countries on the five continents and 53 have already been certified. Maiêutica is one of the 22 institutions to have received the Platinum Degree – the highest level certification.
“Such a programme can only be implemented by committed leaders with motivated teams,” said Fernando Parente, FISU Healthy Campus Programme Director who was present at the event’s closing ceremony via videoconference. “I congratulate the Institution’s managers and the fantastic human resources who contribute to make programmes, events and activities operational on a daily basis, for the benefit of the health and well-being of students. I also congratulate all those who are part of the community which built these wonderful fields of activities at Maia and will continue to grow them,” he added.
