1st Heads of Delegation Meeting in Granada

GRANADA – The first Heads of Delegation meeting for the 2015 Winter Universiade in Granada, Spain was held on the evening of 1 February.

The meeting which was attended by over 75 people, including the delegates, FISU Vice President Leonz Eder, Chair of the Winter Universiade Supervision Committee Kairis Ulp, the Chair of the Technical Committee Roger Roth, venue managers and many members of the Organizing Committee, was held in the HoD Meeting Room at the Granada Congress and Exhibition Centre.

“I would like to start by thanking, deeply thanking, the whole FISU team,” said CEO of organizing committee, Ignacio Pipó. “The Universiade will be a great success.”

Part of the success will include the functionality of all seven venues. Each venue manager had the opportunity to speak about each venue in detail; if the venue is game-ready, what special services the venue provides and much more.

Later, several members of the organizing committee took to the stage and explained the services provided to all delegates, athletes and FISU staff. With over 10 services including accommodation, transportation, information, media and many more.

The 27th edition of the Games will officially begin on 4 February with the Opening Ceremony at 6:00 p.m.
