FIN vs JPN
UPPSALA – As the inaugural World University American Football Championship progresses the teams continue to showcase their skills on the gridiron.
Team Japan showed no mercy against Finland. Japan played its first game in the tournament, and came out with a strong running game. It took only two plays before Shin Takasaki put the first six points the board. Nippon beat Suomi, as the Finns were chanceless against a very strong and very fast Japan. The final score was 84-0 and MVP’s where 200 yard running back Shu Inoue from Japan and brave Henri Routila from Finland who did a great job playing both ways.

Luciano Cabral & Stefan Bergh
Before the game between Sweden and China, FISU Vice-President Luciano Cabral handed over a gift from FISU to the President of the Organizing Committee Stefan Bergh for organizing this inaugural edition of the WUC American Football.
SWE vs CHN
Team Sweden rebounded and took its first win of the tournament against Team China, after the big loss in the opening game against Team Mexico. Sweden started out strong with a quick pass from quarterback Fabian Söderberg to Jimmy Palmborg who sprinted away from the Chinese defenders and put Sweden in front. Once Tre Kronor took the lead, they never looked back and the game ended 41-0, leaving China scoreless.
