
KAZAN – Hyundai Universe bus routes were tested on June 5th on the territory of the Universiade Village to check the venue’s transport readiness in the run up to the Kazan 2013 Summer Universiade.
The bus depot was checked for compliance with relevant requirements, while parking lots and driveways near the International Information Centre were inspected for availability of space, width and height enough for two buses to maneuver around.
Oleg Golovanov, Head of the Athletes and Official Delegations Transportation Unit of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate informed: «Hyundai Universe buses fully meet the requirements for the transportation services for athletes and team officials and are certified in the Russian Federation. Besides, the buses produced by Hyundai have been successfully used by carriers of the Republic of Tatarstan for many years and have demonstrated high performance and reliability.»
Buses supplied for the 2013 Summer Universiade will leave a good legacy for the future and will help to upgrade the fleet of intercity service buses which will eventually allow to increase the quality, safety and comfort level of transport services rendered to the population of the Republic of Tatarstan.
