2013 SU Update: Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate discusses 2013 SU Medical Support System

 

KAZAN – A working session with Evgeny Kovalev, Deputy Chief of the Sports Medicine Organization Administration of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA), was held at the office of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate.

The event saw participation of First Deputy Director General of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate Azat Kadyrov, Deputy Director of Kazan’s Health Administration Marat Gataullin, Chief Doctor of the Republican Medical Prevention Centre Rimma Sadykova, Director of the Medical Marketing Department of Kazan’s Health Administration Airat Bikmukhametov and Kazan 2013 medical services managers.

In his welcome speech Azat Kadyrov informed the delegates about the progress and preparation stages in the medical support system of the 2013 World University Summer Games in Kazan. For his part, Evgeny Kovalev introduced functions and goals of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency as a whole and in sports medicine particularly.

Later on the participants discussed the 2013 Summer Universiade medical services, order of delivering medical aid to groups of Universiade participants, importing and exporting medicines during the Summer Universiade.

The visit also included a tour of the Medical Clinic and Diagnostic Centre, Universiade Village and its medical station, Republican Clinical Hospital and Kazan Educational Centre of High Medical Technologies, as well as the 2013 SU venues. In the evening Evgeny Kovalev met with Minister of Health Care of the Republic of Tatarstan Airat Farrakhov.
