2013 SU Update: Kazan 2013 comes to Technical Schools and Colleges

KAZAN An extended session of the Council of Educational Activities Directors of Kazan’s technical schools and colleges was held in the office of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate.

The event saw the participation of the Chief of Staff of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate Larisa Sulima, head of the Department of higher education institutions and specialized secondary education establishments of Kazan’s Children and Youth Committee Farida Galiullina, Chief Specialist of the Department of Cultural Work and Cooperation with Youth Organizations of the Children and Youth Committee of Kazan’s Executive Committee Marina Malysheva, Educational Activities Directors of 16 technical schools and colleges of Kazan and representatives of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate Departments. Promotion of the 2013 SU ideas among students of technical schools and colleges provided matter for discussion.

According to Larisa Sulima, the Directorate’s most important task is to establish volunteer centers under the aegis of the specialized secondary education establishments. “We hope that students of technical schools and colleges will help us to inform the world about the forthcoming grand sports festival”, she said in her speech.

The sitters discussed delivery of Spring Dripping 2011, a spring talent show among students of technical schools and colleges. According to Marina Malysheva, a great deal of attention will be paid to the 2013 World University Summer Games. The students will be challenged to dedicate their performances to the main idea of the show – Welcome to Kazan!

Yulia Kurakina, leading specialist of the Department of Cultural and Social Programs of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate, stated that the Directorate had established UNI-Reserve, a special nomination for the most talented bands and performers. “During the talent show the panel of judges will select the winners that will be able to perform at the 2013 SU ceremonies”, she added.

Volunteers Department representatives Yulia Raynvayn and Alisa Lisovaya introduced Team 2013: Season 3 that kicks off on April 4. Discover the Universiade for yourself, the new project expected to be launched by the Volunteers Department will feature presentations delivered by Kazan 2013 volunteers at secondary schools, specialized secondary education establishments and higher education institutions of Kazan.

In her report Yulia Raynvayn stated that the project was aimed at informing Tatarstan’s youth about preparation progress of the 2013 World University Summer Games.

At request of the officials of technical schools and colleges the Kazan 2013 Marketing Department will set up the ‘Towards the Universiade’-information stands at each educational institution of Kazan.
