2010 WUC Badminton Update: Team Finals

TAIPEI CITY The team competition continued on 8th September 2010. TPE, KOR, THA, and CHN got the passport for the semi-finals in the morning. In the evening competition, TPE again beat their opponents KOR in a straight game, storming into the finals. CHN were also in good control, defeating THA in a straight game and easily made it to the final. 

The 5th-8th ranking competitions featured JPN, INA, POL, and GBR. GBR and POL went through a close game and battled till late at night. GBR was in a lead at first but POL finally turned the table and got the chance to strive for the 5th place. JPN lost the first match, but they still grabbed the victory in the end. Therefore, POL will face JPN and GBR will take on INA.

The 9th-12th ranking competitions were played on the 4th floor. The places of 9th to 12th are ESP, SUI, SIN, and IND.

The final will start at 9 a.m. tomorrow, host TPE will square off against the defending champion CHN. It will definitely be a tough game. KOR and THA will compete for the third place.
