From November 2nd to 8th the city of Asunción, Paraguay will host the inaugural ODUPA Panamerican University Futsal Championship and the 2nd COSUD South-American University Tennis Championship.
Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Paraguay and Uruguay have sent teams to participate in the Futsal event whereas athletes from Chile, Colombia and Paraguay participate in the tennis event resulting in some 100 athletes being present in the Paraguyan capital, which can be considered as a success for the organization.
The participants of both events are lodged and catered at the “Yacht y Golf Club Paraguayo”. On November 2nd the championships were officially opened at the Headquarters of the South-American Football Confereration. Technical Chair for the Futsal event is ALVARO LEIVA (CHI). The Organizing Committee is presided by ALBERTO GILARDONI (PAR), member of the FISU Legal Committee.
