ODUPA Development Organization Program (Oikos) is aimed at strengthening the Continental Association through the design and implementation of proposals to develop and consolidate it, in line with FISU policies and strategies, from human resources training and communication processes. ODUPA’s 2009/12 strategic planning project is carried out in the context of a distance learning course with forums, group work and real time conferences. The product to be generated will be a first strategic planning draft for ODUPA, including the vision, mission, values and strategic goals.
The objectives of the program –intended for execution within less than 1 year- are:
1. To draw up a Strategic Plan for ODUPA for the 2009- 2012 period, in line with the mission, values and policies of FISU.
2. To lay the foundations of a common platform for the intelligent management of university sports organizations on three levels: continental, regional and national.
3. To carry out actions that enable the retention, improvement and loyalty of current members. To strengthen the sense of belonging to the ODUPA.
4. To achieve the participation and integration of more people and university sports athletes in spaces promoted by ODUPA.
5. To improve communication channels within the organization, with FISU and with society and to create interactive spaces.
6. To strengthen the “FISU-ODUPA Culture”
The following results are expected upon finishing the program:
1. A Strategic Plan and the outline of an intelligent management system driving ODUPA’s actions.
2. The plan and implementation of Human Resources Training in specific abilities for each institutional player according to their role and their level in ODUPA’s structure in tune with the different member organizations. 3. The design and launch of an information and communication system that enables the facilitation of the institution’s management at every level, and from the point of view of Human Resources, provide adequate support for permanent training.
4. Implementation of a “pilot” network of continent information with links to the FISU system.
