Game on!

Just because we are facing some rough and tumble times in 2020, doesn’t mean we couldn’t get sporty and competitive in a virtual environment. This made for FISU’s first successful eSports challenge, with a FIFA20 competition! After the über-successful online UWC Football Team Challenge took place in May, virtual football brought this to the next level with the 2020 FISU eSports Challenge Football.

How did the 2020 FISU eSports Challenge Football work?

The inaugural 2020 FISU eSports Challenge Football took place across 11 action-packed competition days in early July. 32 male players and 12 female ones battled it out in two separate tournaments that happened simultaneously. Each of FISU’s Continental Member Associations fielded top players for the tournament, ensuring a full geographical spread on a virtual football pitch! Find out more about the competition here!
