Another milestone in the lead up to the Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games has been passed with tickets now officially on sale. With just over four months to the opening ceremony in Lake Placid, spectators can now purchase event tickets by visiting www.lakeplacid2023.com.

Ashley Walden, executive director of the Adirondack Sports Council and the Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games’ Organising Committee commented about this important step in the lead up to January. “The launch of ticket sales is an exciting milestone for a global event of this size. Fans will now be able to purchase their tickets to witness the world’s best collegiate winter athletes compete on Lake Placid’s historic competition venues and throughout the iconic North country region. In keeping with the Games’ mission for sustainability and conservation, tickets will be available primarily on a mobile platform.”

The partner chosen by the Lake Placid 2023 FISU Games Organising Committee as the Official Ticketing and Service Provider was vivenu. Founded in 2018, and with offices in New York and Germany, vivenu was chosen due to its intuitive set-up, empowering functionalities, and full flexibility to scale, as the platform can easily be adjusted to support large-scale events such as the Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games.

Ticket prices will range from $10 – $45 to watch the 86 medal events in twelve sports that will be contested in Lake Placid and the North Country of New York State between 12 – 22 January 2023. Approximately 2,500 student-athletes and officials from 600 of the world’s universities are expected to attend and with tickets now on sale, fans are that much closer to being able to watch live and in person the world’s top student-athletes.
