FISU athletes garner a bag of medals at Beijing Winter Olympics

Several former FISU athletes performed magnificently at the Olympic Winter Games 2022, showing the way to current and future participants in FISU events.   

2019 FISU World University Games bronze medalist Hiroshima Ikuma (Japan) earned the bronze medal in freestyle ski.

 

2013 FISU World University Games bronze medalist Angelina Golikova (Russia) secured her first Olympic medal (bronze) in speedskating

 

2015 FISU World University Games silver medalist Queralt Castellet (Spain) finished second in the snowboard half-pipe competition, winning the Olympic silver medal this time.

 

2015 FISU World University Games gold medalist Magnus Nedregotten (Norway) won the silver medal in mixed doubles curling.

 

2015 FISU World University Games silver medalist Alessandro Haemmerle (Austria) earned the gold medal in the snowboard cross racing.

 

2013 FISU World University Games bronze medalist Victoria Sinitsina (Russia) won the silver medal in figure skating ice dance.

 

2019 FISU World University Games triple medalist Eduard Latypov (Russia) reiterated this performance in Beijing by winning the bronze medal in the Biathlon Pursuit, Relay and Mixed Relay.

 

2019 FISU World University Games bronze medalist Konstantin Ivliev (Russia) earned his first Olympic medal (silver) in speedskating.

 

2015 FISU World University Games silver medalist Chloé Trespeuch (France) also finished second in Beijing, taking silver in snowboard cross.
