SANTIAGO DE CHILE – Sunday January 15th, was the last day of the 2012 WUC Water Skiing inChile. The day was devoted to the last final of the tournament. This was the final of the men’s and women’s jumping competition.
In the women’s competition the podium was dominated by the USA as Lauren Morgan and Alexandra Mauretano got gold and silver respectively. Bronze went to Kate Adriaensen from Belgium.
In the men’s competition Canadians Alex Paradis and Kevin Melnuk pocketed the gold en silver leaving the bronze to Felipe Miranda.
At the end of the day, the closing ceremony was held in the Casino de Santiago. During the ceremony FISU EC member Rosaura Mendez formally thanked the organizing committee for the work and the success of this championship. She also thanked the International Water Ski Federation in the person of its president Mr Richard Kuno and presented a FISU commemorative plate to the Chilean Olympic Committee.
