More about the tournament: After two editions in China and another two in Malaysia, the 5th Asian University 3×3 Basketball Championship is currently taking place in Kinmen, Chinese Taipei from 8-11 May. Twenty elite university teams are in the fray.

Men’s team from Korea’s Myongji University (MJU)The 2017 men’s champions – the Mon-Altius Physical Education Institute from Mongolia – are in action again as are the women’s 2017 winners, the Chinese Culture University (CCU) from Chinese Taipei.
As the Asian University 3×3 Basketball Championship was declared open, the Magistrate of Kinmen County, Cheng-wu Yang said, “Through this competition, we hope to promote cultural exchange, such that all the participants can really experience the special culture of Kinmen.”
There are 103 participants in total, making up 20 teams from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Mongolia, Malaysia, Iran, Macau (China), Philippines, Korea, and Chinese Taipei. The ten men’s and women’s university teams have been placed in two groups of five teams each, and will play each other through to the finals on 11 May.
