2011 WU Update Day9 – Snowboard – Half Pipe

An Exceptional Level !

ERZURUM – February 4th- There was quite a crowd to see the show at the half pipe final, which is always spectacular. In the Women’s event, all eyes were turned to the Chinese star in the discipline, Xuetong Cai, who has won a respectable number of World Cup titles over the last 12 months. She won easily the event thanks to superb moves. Sophie Rodriguez, from France took the Silver Medal and Shuang Li, also from China, the Bronze.

The men’s competition was exceptional and totally dominated by the Japanese surfer Ryo Aono, who won the Gold Medal together with his teammate Kazuumi Fujita who took silver. Both performed exceptional moves and high jumps. Ryo Aono is one of the world’s best in the discipline. He won several World Cup Titles and was part of the Japanese Team at the Vancouver Winter Olympics.
