Applications Now Open for Dream Together Master Scholarship Programme

FISU 14 February 2022

Education through sport is a major pillar in FISU’s mandate and providing opportunities for leadership, education, and growth are important alongside the sport competitions that are held annually. To further this important element of FISU’s work, it is again pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Dream Together Master scholarship opportunity provided by FISU and the Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea. Selected students will commence their studies in September 2022.

This unique programme provides students an opportunity to develop sport management skills to further their career plans in sport. Scholarship candidates must be of non-Korean nationality and from a country noted in the List of Official Development Aid (ODA) Recipients provided by the Development Assistance Committee.

In any given year, FISU may present several candidates for consideration to receive a Dream Together Master scholarship. Bridget Umutoni of Uganda was received the scholarship and began her studies in the fall of 2021, with an expected completion of her degree by December of 2023.

FISU Member Associations interested in submitting candidates to follow in Umutoni’s footsteps must do so no later than 11 March 2022. Submissions should be made to the FISU Education and Development Department (education@fisu.net) and should indicate “DTM Scholarship 2022” the email’s subject line.

Applicant must have completed a Bachelor’s degree or higher (in any field) and demonstrate sufficient command of both spoken and written English as classes are conducted entirely in English. Potential and passion for sport management are valued, with preference given to competitive athletes. Achievements in sport, education and social activity will be highly considered, especially from FISU events, and preference will be given to students having academic interests related to the university sports movement (study plan, form 2).
