FISU visits CBDU Headquarters

During his official visit to Brasilia, FISU General-Secretary / CEO Eric Saintrond was invited to visit the Brazilian University Sports Confederation (CBDU) headquarters by CBDU President and FISU Vice-president Luciano Cabral.

Founded in 1939, the Brazilian University Sports Confederation has grown into one of the largest national federations with key agreements with other national sports confederations as well as with the Brazilian Olympic Committee.

This visit comes ahead of the renowned Brazilian University Olympics, this year celebrating the 57th edition will be held in Fotaleza. These university games join the 27 state university sports federations, bringing together more than 10 thousand participants from all over the country.

FISU SG Eric Saintrond had the opportunity to meet Educational Sports State Secretary Julio Filgueira at the Ministry of Sport together with CBDU representatives.

CBDU President Cabral also presented the FISU General-Secretary a signed copy of the re-edition book History and Results of the 1963 World University Games of Porto Alegre by Rodrigo Koch.
