FISU and CBDU share experiences at first joint international university sports seminar

FISU 27 June 2022

CBDU, the Brazilian University Sports Confederation, and FISU jointly organized their first International University Sports Seminar in Brasilia (Brazil).

The event focused on the management and organization of world university sport, with both federations exchanging their experience in that area.

“Such opportunities are important to get closer to each other and for FISU staff to know better about the national federations they work with on a very regular basis,” said Paulo Ferreira, FISU Director General.

“It is also very important for CBDU staff to see how FISU is working,” added CBDU Vice-President Alim Maluf Neto. “Without doubt, CBDU has shown it is high-ranked among FISU-affiliated federations, but these kinds of insights help further building the capacity of our professionals.”

“As a physical education student, I’m convinced the knowledge and networking I was able to develop during the seminar will help me a lot in my future career,” said Júlia Coimbra, an intern at the CBDU Sports and Events department.
