HELSINKI - The General Assembly of the Finnish Student Sports Federation (OLL) has elected Matias Vainio as President for 2015. Mr. Vainio is a 24-year-old history student from the University of Eastern Finland and is currently serving as Board Member at the Student Union of University of Eastern Finland (ISYY).

The General Assembly also elected the Federation's Board for the following year. The General Assembly also adopted the action plan for 2015. The action plan emphasizes strong lobbying ahead of the parliamentary elections in 2015 in order to strengthen the status of student sports and increase students’ physical activity in Finland. Another goal for 2015 is to increase the participation of women in the National Student Championships.
