Book about Mongolian university sports recommended as text book

Mongolia Book 4
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports of Mongolia has recommended a book published by the Mongolian Student Sports Federation (MSSF) as a textbook in physical education courses at 100 universities and colleges in the country. This is a feather in the cap of FISU’s member federation, as the book outlines ‘The Historical Development of University Sports in Mongolia’.

Mongolia Book 1The book, written by MSSF Secretary General Jargalsaikhan Dorjsuren (PhD), tells the history of university sports in Mongolia since the founding of the Mongolian Pedagogical College in 1922. All major milestones are marked, from the first National University Games of Mongolia in 1959 to the 30th anniversary of the MSSF in 2019, among many others.

The most successful Mongolian university athletes are celebrated in the book, through historical photos, materials, data and documents from the World University Games since 1965 onwards.

The book is intended for use by sports federations, clubs and other sports organisations, as well as sports journalists, fans and citizens, as it traces the history of university sports in Mongolia.
