2015 SU Update: Embracing Collaboration for the 2015 Summer Universiade

Mr. Yoon-suk Kim, Secretary General of the Organizing Committee

GWANGJU - The Gwangju Universiade Organizing Committee held a meeting in mid April to discuss the Games’ ongoing preparations and agreed future collaborative plans. The meeting was attended by 50 key figures from 18 sports-related agencies, and included Mr. Kim Hong-sik, Vice-president of the Gwangju Sports Council and Athletics Federation.

Mr. Yoon-suk Kim, Secretary General of the Organizing Committee, called on people to work together, noting that mutual and close cooperation among sports-related organizations should be maintained throughout the course of the Universiade’s preparation. He also asked for the support of sports professionals who have a wide range of experiences from previous global sports events.

Such sports-related organizations will play a vital role, with their specialist sporting knowledge required to prepare and run the 21 sports which will take place at the 2015 Universiade.
