FISU Staff at ISF Seminar

LAUSANNE - Milan Augustin, Director of the Winter Universiade, Jing Zhao, Manager of the Summer Universiade and Julien Buhajezuk, Executive Assistant of the World University Championships attended the International Federations Seminar on events provided by the city of Lausanne, the Canton de Vaud and the MSI, host of many international federations.

Based on a participative format, the seminar was organised around the topic “Host cities – understanding their motivation” and at this occasion, three major cities were invited to present their policy and objectives in hosting sports events, namely Lausanne, Stockholm and Amsterdam.

The seminar was an opportunity to discuss the organization of events, their bid procedure from both an IF and a major city point of view, and offered the possibility of a constructive and comprehensive networking session.

The seminar has to be seen in the frame of the upcoming events in November, with both the IF Forum and City Events taking place within next weeks in Lausanne.

This seminar concluded the 2012 IF seminars, and the next seminar will take place early 2013.
