LJUBLJANA – On the invitation of FADU – the national university sports association of Portugal, the Student Commission of the European University Sports Association (EUSA STC) met in Braga,Portugal, on April 20 and 21, 2012.
EUSA STC members discussed several items within the scope of the meeting; with emphasis on the existing and new projects in which the STC is directly involved in; namely the Volunteer Programme, Photo Competition, Networking Programme, European Anti-Doping Initiative (EADIn) and Social Responsibility Program.
The meeting was attended by STC members Isabel Collischonn, Kaisa Myllyla, Maria Rubach, Aikaterini Zompanaki, Bruno Barracosa and Zoltan Rakaczki via Skype. EUSA Communications manager Mr Andrej Pisl attended the meeting on behalf of the EUSA Office. Mr Barracosa, FADU President and EUSA STC member welcomed all the participants who were also all warmly received by other FADU board members and Mr Fernando Parente, EUSA EC Member.
Since the Portuguese national university championships were held inBragaand Guimaraes during April 14-22, the participants also attended some of the finals, and participated in recreational events themselves. Apart from the meetings and sports events, sightseeing and entertainment events were also organised in Braga and Porto for the participants.
Outcomes of the meeting will be presented to the next EUSA Executive Committee meeting, to be held on June 15 in Brussels, Belgium.
