Karate 17 July 2010

PODGORICA – Almir Cecunjanin, the most prospective sportsman in Montenegro, didn’t succeed to keep the gold medal in Montenegro. The guy who ruined the party for the local supporters was Modami Vishkaei Jasema (Iran) who defeated Cecunjanin in the final. The third day of the championship has been successful for the participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.

The national supporters were impatient to see the category Kumite male +84kg, because one of the competitors was Almir Cecunjanin – the best athlete in Montenegro. Cecunjanin got to the final very easily, but in the final fight Modami Vishkaei Jasema won the gold medal with the result 3:0.

Today, the most successful competitors have been the ones from Bosnia and Herzegovina. They won 3 medals, one of which was a gold medal in the category Kumite male -84, and 2 bronze medals. In the final, Kupusović (Bosnia and Herzegovina) beat Bitević (Serbia).
