LAUSANNE It is with great sadness FISU informs of the death of former FISU Secretary-General Michel Ostyn, who passed away on June 5th at the age of 88.

Professor Emeritus Ostyn was President of the Institute of Physical Education of the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium (KUL) and one of the founders of the faculty.

As a member of the FISU Family, Michel Ostyn was the FISU Secretary-General for the period 1953-1973, subsequently Chair of the CRS (1973-1979) and CRS Member (1983-1987).

Our thoughts of sympathy go out to his children and grandchildren.
