2016 RIOU Scholarship recipient Ivo Carvalhosa with FISU President Oleg MatytsinFISU and RIOU support one scholarship to this programme every year and the experience provided is invaluable, according to former recipients. Ivo Pereira Carvalhosa from Portugal and Ilsida Tomere from Suriname, have both won the RIOU MSA scholarship in recent years.

“I had a great time with all the different classes, teachers and subjects,” says Carvalhosa, two years down the line. “The teaching is top notch, while the campus and accommodation are state of the art and just wonderful.”

Ilsida Tomere of SurinameTomere agrees. “Studying at RIOU was a great opportunity for my personal development,” she says. “As a current long-distance athlete, I was confident that this program will enable me to develop my intellect further, particularly in sport business. I must say it has been a great experience for me.”
