FISU present at EPAS Meeting

AARHUS – On 27 October, the members of EPAS (Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport), the Consultative Committee of the Council of Europe met in Aarhus, Denmark. The purpose of the meeting is the continue the works on consolidating the governance of the Consultative Committee and to better implement and cooperate with the Council of Europe’s programmes and activities and to increase the dynamism and cooperation between the thirty and more members representing extremely different organisations involved with sport activities. These are the reasons for which the members brainstorm to develop the Terms of Reference of the Consultative Committee. The meeting was chaired by Sarah Lacarrière and the Council of Europe Secretariat Representative, Mr. Michael Trinker. FISU was represented by its Director of Educational Services, Kolë Gjeloshaj.

Mr Trinker took the opportunity of the meeting to update the members of the upcoming events of EPAS such as the conference on ‘Tolerance and Diversity through Physical Education and Sport’ on 19 and 20 November 2015 in Bled (Slovenia) and the conference on ‘Promoting Gender Mainstreaming in Sport’ on 17 November 2015 in Strasbourg (France).
