LAUSANNE, Switzerland – The International University Sports Federation is pleased to announce the annual scholarship opportunity provided by FISU and the Russian International Olympic University, Sochi (RUS), for the year 2021-2022.
Every year, FISU offers unique scholarship programmes to the worldwide community of student-athletes and applications are now open to one of the most prestigious among these; the Master of Sport Administration programme at the Russian International Olympic University, Sochi.
All the FISU Member Associations are invited to submit their candidates by 30 April 2021 at the latest to education@fisu.net, with ‘RIOU Scholarship 2021’ indicated in the email subject.
In addition to the Student Application form, candidates will be requested to scan and submit the following documents:
- An official recommendation letter from their National University Sports Federation (NUSF) or Continental University Sports Federation (CUSF)
- A valid passport (should be valid for a minimum period of 18 months from the visa issue date)
- A bachelor’s certificate with the transcripts
- A proof of English language ability (certificate or any other document)
Only applications that include all these documents and are received before the official deadline will be submitted to the evaluation panel. Achievements in sport, education and social activity will be highly considered, especially at FISU events, and preference will be given to top-level athletes.

RIOU might decide to offer the candidate a place within the MSA, but only the candidate selected by FISU and based on the above documentation will receive the FISU-RIOU scholarship. This candidate and the respective NUSF/CUSF will be informed by an official communication from FISU.
