Conference and scholarship on advancing dual career athletes

Recognising the challenges that combining school with sport, FISU works with stakeholders committed to advancing the cause of student-athletes at campuses around the world. From these challenges come opportunities for today’s sport stars to become tomorrow’s leaders.  

 

In addition to organizing events like the FISU World Conference on Student Development Through Sport coming up this 27-29 August in Taipei City, FISU works with organisations like the European Athlete as Student (EAS) on advancing athlete career initiatives. EAS has a couple upcoming events you might be interested in:

 

 

Dual Career Conference: 12-14 September

 

 

The EAS annual conference on dual career research and advancing best practices is scheduled to take place in Aarhus, Denmark this year. As a stakeholder of the European Parliament, the European Commission and the Council of Europe, EAS is a key player between the dual career movement and Europe’s educational institutions. A Call for Research on Student-Athletes: The Bengt Nybelius Scholarship 2017

 

 

Arte you an outstanding scholar or young researcher working in the area of dual-careers? If so, EAS has a scholarship tailor-made for you. Researchers under the age of 40 are eligible, regardless of nationality or country of residence. Just note that manuscripts must not contain information published elsewhere.
