Winter Games 23 December 2010

ERZURUM Yesterday, December 23rd, the Organizing Committee of the 25th Winter Universiade in Erzurum held its 2nd official Test Event for biathlon. All the functional staffs smoothly and perfectly prepared the test event and it started on time as scheduled. All key persons and relevant staff as well as volunteers transferred their experience and acknowledgement learned from the first official test event the day before. This is what the IBU Technical Delegate (TD) Ubaldo PRUCKER (ITA) expected after the first test event.

Yesterday’s test event was started with the female Mass Start and finished with the male Mass Start. Their performance was great and they did the competition completely under the well-prepared facilities from the start and finish area, over the course, on the penalty loop, on the shooting range and on the finish. The test event was successful due to great team work between the Erzurum Organizing Committee (OC), GearHouse, Swiss Timing and HoRa Team. Furthermore, approximately 100 young children from Kandilli Guuencyatili Bolgeokulu School watched this test event over the wooden fence and it made a wonderful competition atmosphere.

The IBU Technical Delegate (TD) Ubaldo PRUCKER (ITA) and FISU Sport Assistant Jiho KIM (KOR) were both present. Furthermore, all other relevant parties including the Gearhouse, Swiss Timing under direction of Mr. Thomas KUTZKE (GER) with expert Mr. Christian Winkler (ITA), HoRa Team and a medical team participated in this important second test event.
