Best wishes for 2019 from FISU President Oleg Matytsin

On the eve of the new year, FISU President Oleg Matytsin takes stock of all that FISU has achieved in the year 2018 and looks ahead to 2019. With 32 standalone World University Championships held in 2018, as well the fourth edition of the University World Cup - 3x3, this was a busy and productive year for FISU. The President thanks all host cities involved, as well as the member federations, universities and of course the students. He has a special mention for the Volunteer Leaders Academy which has produced fine ambassadors who are spreading the message of FISU and university sports on their campuses.  


With Krasnoyarsk 2019 Winter Universiade and Napoli 2019 Summer Universiade coming up soon in 2019, as well as the first ever University World Cup - Football, there is much to look forward to in the new year. On this note, the FISU President wishes everyone a very Happy New Year! Watch this special message.
