I knew that I had to get them all together, that’s something that I have really been working on, I’m just over the moon! It paid off!”, she exclaimed.

“I have been in a couple of competitions that were like my warm up competitions, and then coming here I told my coach – he knows the inside out of the training – it just seems really good, and we just had a really good competition,” she added.

Kelly enjoys her stay in Gwangju. “I really haven’t got the change to go out of the Athletes’ Village yet, but Gwangju seems to be very nice and the people here are very nice and friendly.”

20-year old Kelly is a student of Applied Sports Science at the Southampton Solent University, who with a lot of discipline and dedication, surely will continue to get more medals and trophies.
