1st AUAC & 3rd AUBC 3×3: Victory and Closing Ceremony

NILAI – April 16 was the final day of the 1st AUAC & 3rd AUBC 3×3. The Victory Ceremony started from 3:00 pm in the venue of USIM (Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia), immediately after the last match of Recurve Men. Totally, 12 set of medals were awarded for 12 disciplines, 3×3 Basketball Men and Women, Compound Men and Women, Compound Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Team, Recurve Men and Women, Recurve Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Team

 

During these 2 events, Chinese Taipei team was the biggest winner.

 

The Closing Ceremony was followed after the last medal was awarded. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Hazally Jali, Under Secretary of Sports Division of Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia, delivered a speech. He congratulated all the teams on their wonderful performances and expressed gratitude to AUSF, Malaysia University Sports Council (MASUM), Malaysia Basketball Association (MABA) and the National Archery Association of Malaysia (NAAM) for their hard work and devotion in the championships which gave athletes the opportunities to make their dreams come true.

 

Dr. Omar A. Al-Hai, AUSF Senior Vice President said in his speech, “no matter you won the medals or not, you are the best. Because you were the best selected representing your country and region.” He also expressed his gratitude to the Technical Delegates, Organizing Committee, the Malaysian University Sports Council, the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia Basketball Association, the National Archery Association of Malaysia for the wonderful organization. Last but not least, he gave a heartfelt appreciation to the 80 volunteers.

 

With the lowering of the AUSF flag, the 1s Asian University Archery Championship and 3rd Asian University 3×3 Basketball Championship concluded.
