The mega events held in Tehran And ChaAm proved to be successful. In organizing these mega events, the hosts realized that hosting two to three events in the same city over the same period of time would be more cost effective. The new attempt helped to attract attention and public awareness in the country/region while facilitating participation of other AUSF members. It would also be easier for the hosts to find sponsorship and to develop better working relationship between the NUSFs concerned with their universities, Governmental authorities and the sports community

Establishment of Sub-Committees

As the scope and scale of work of the Federation gets bigger and more challenging, six Sub-Committees were established to help to deliver speicific tasks; these sub-committees are: :

Education Committee

Control Committee

Technical Committee

Finance Committee

Communication & Marketing Committee

Sponsorship Committee

New Logo

The new logo was designed to symbolize the dynamic spirit of AUSF as an International university sports federation and the prosperous development of AUSF. The blue ‘U’ means university, the yellow ‘U’ means Asia and the torch – a symbol of passionate spirit of sportsmen. The tip of the torch also featured an image of Phoenix, the bird of Sun, meaning the sun revives in the morning.
